Steven graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Science in 1991. He then worked in the dental industry for 6 years before returning to the University of Otago, New Zealand and completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2001. 

  

He practised dentistry in Singapore for 5 years before migrating to Melbourne in 2006 and has been the principal dentist at Charisma Dental since August 2007.
